How much does it cost to purchase a Kandahar Kabab franchise?

The cost of a turnkey Canadian franchise varies from $350,000 to $850,000 CDN plus all applicable taxes. At least 33% of the franchise cost must be unencumbered cash or liquid assets. In addition $40,000 to $60,000 in working capital, also unencumbered. The remaining amount may be financed through the banks on approval of the franchise.

What is included in the cost of the franchise?

Kandahar Kabab® will provide you with a turnkey operation, meaning all you need to start a Kandahar Kabab® restaurant is to turn the key and open the doors to be in business. This is a huge advantage for our franchisees because of all the work and aggravation involved.

What are the on-going payments after the Restaurant is established?

Royalties are 4.5% paid on monthly gross sales, an additional 4.0% on monthly gross sales paid to our advertising fund by all franchisees.

Does Kandahar Kabab offer financial assistance/ support?

We require that the buyer pay a minimum of 33% cash as a down payment towards the purchase of a new restaurant. While Kandahar Kabab® does not offer financing, Kandahar Kabab® franchisees will enjoy the benefits of our established relationships with many national lending institutes. Our franchising department will work with you through-out the negotiating process to finalize these terms.

How much money can I make?

Profitability depends mainly on your ability to operate the business effectively. In addition to that, other important factors are occupancy costs, the size of the restaurant established and financing terms.

I own a business. Can I still apply to franchise a Kandahar Kabab Restaurant?

Your approval will most likely be hard; however, there are exceptions depending on the business you own and circumstances. These matters will be discussed in-person. A Kandahar Kabab® restaurant requires the upmost attention to ensure that it meets the standards necessary to perform successfully.

What is the term of the Licence Agreement?

The term of the licence agreement is usually 10 to 15 years with opportunity to renew for an extended 10 year course.

What if I have a piece of property that I own that would be ideal for a new Kandahar Kabab® franchise?

The site selection process is separate from our franchisee selection. If you suggest or own a specific site, we cannot guarantee that you will be the franchisee for that site if we inquire it. Kandahar Kabab® awards the franchise to the most qualified candidate.

How long would it take to build the restaurant after it is approved?

The time to complete construction of a Kandahar Kabab® restaurant varies depending on size and location. Franchisee's will be informed of the exact timing in the meeting process after approval.

How long must one wait for an approval?

Typically it should take 2-4 weeks for a franchisee's request to be processed.
